There’s probably no dieter who has never heard of Phentermine substance. Known to be very effective but at the same time carrying many serious risks with it, Phentermine is definitely what we would call “a double edged sword”.
This drug is meant to suppress the appetite and allow users to shed some unwanted weight. It is an amphetamine style drug as well as being a phenelthylamine.
Since it is possible to get addicted to this kind of supplement, it should only be used for short periods while following a good diet and exercise plan.
Who is Phentermine for?
Since Phentermine is only available on prescription, doctors will usually prescribe it to people who have other underlying issues with their weight. They will also only offer it for up to 12 weeks at a time so that the patient does not get hooked on it.
People who have high blood pressure or an over active thyroid should not take Phentermine. Pregnancy, heart problems and nursing mothers should also avoid these supplements along with those who have glaucoma. Those who are taking dexfenfluramine, fenfluramine, furazolidone, guanadrel, and guanethidine, amongst other medications should also stay away from Phentermine.
Phentermine side effects
There are several milder side effects that come with this supplement. They are:
– a rise in blood pressure
– a feeling of being jittery or nervous
– dry mouth
– blurred vision
– decrease or increase in sex drive
– digestive problems
– fluctuating heart rate
– a host of other side effects too numerous to mention
This is indeed a serious drug and as such, it also has some very serious side effects that are:
– a feeling of hostility
– high fever
– several other side effects considered to be dangerous
Phentermine is simply too dangerous for anyone to consider. Apart from the side effects, there is an obvious chance that someone would get dependent on it. It is much better to go for a natural, more gently, product that brings results, rather than risk health with this one.
